The Maiolica project is inspired by the Galleria Marca Corona, the Company Museum that preserves the Rubbiani collection, the historical heritage of Sassuolo ceramics and the genetic heritage of Marca Corona. Tradition is reinterpreted starting from its most famous form, the majolica tile, in the white and blue colours.
The goal is to reclaim a product loaded with emotional meanings, freeing it from the patina of time. Intense graphic research and the expert stylisation of decorations make this collection suitable even in the most modern spaces beyond the residential environment, ideal in refined restaurants, sophisticated business interiors and retro-style boutiques. The classic sizes are enriched by an innovative decoration technique.
Majolica is reinterpreted through a glazed porcelain stoneware with a simple composition, suitable both for floor and wall surfaces. Fully respecting tradition, Maiolica is offered in classic 10x10 and 20x20 sizes and in the two historic colours, white and blue, with a glossy finish, conceived for single-colour backgrounds or contrasting layouts.
The expressive force of the series lies in the sophisticated selection of decorations featuring geometric and floral motifs. The special decorative technique used brings out the craftsmanship, giving them great vitality, movement and an almost three-dimensional touch. For the 10x10 size there are 6 different shiny decorations, blue on a white background, proposed as wall coverings.
On the other hand, the 20x20 format, available exclusively in the white colour, is suitable also for floor destination and is complemented by 2 different tone-on-tone, elegant and lightweight decorations.
