September once again becomes the defining month for the world of ceramics, featuring the premier event dedicated to architectural and design surfaces. At Cersaie Bologna 2026, Marca Corona tells its story with “Sedimenta” and its new unprecedented collections.
A meeting point for ideas, visions and innovative living concepts, from 21st to 25th September Cersaie 2026 welcomes professionals and design enthusiasts from around the globe to BolognaFiere for five days of discovery and experience.
Marca Corona is proud to participate as a Cersaie 2026 exhibitor at this 43rd edition, showcasing its surface portfolio through Sedimenta. This core concept will guide the narrative of the collections on display and inform the design of the exhibition space itself, created this year in collaboration with MP Architects.
Further enriching the brand narrative and visitor experience at Stand C76-D75 in Hall 37, a dedicated space will be reserved for Marca Corona per l’Arte. The 5th edition of this initiative features Marinella Senatore, an internationally acclaimed Italian artist who was recently named “Artist of the Year 2026” by the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome.
Sedimenta: Italian ceramic by Marca Corona reflects the many facets of living and its multiple scenarios
Sedimenta is time itself, deposited in exquisite strata.
It is a dimension where memory and future intersect in overlapping layers and shared experiences, bringing form to contemporary living across diverse interior and exterior spaces.
This theme seamlessly connects with our rich history spanning nearly three centuries: from 1741, the year the “Fabbrica della Majolica” was founded, to the present day, maintaining a continuous balance between Italian heritage and ongoing evolution.
It is a process of layering without overloading, adding value while maintaining coherence, and crafting a material that grows level by level, embracing variations and making depth structure, not decoration.
Sedimenta serves as the unifying concept across all the new collections we are presenting at Cersaie 2026. From this vision emerge surfaces that celebrate tactile textures, colour plays, juxtapositions, patterns and balanced compositions. They express a synthesis of coexisting eras, capturing both where we have been and where we are heading.
These traces of life, with their fluid interplay of experiences and connections, are echoed in the aesthetic direction of our stand. Here, the narrative unfolds through multiple stories and perspectives, with spaces designed as standalone chapters within a multifaceted tapestry.

Through Sedimenta, interior and exterior design establishes dynamic new coordinates engineered to enhance emotion, depth and variety. Initially introduced during the Sedimenta preview at Coverings 2026, this design path included two distinct yet complementary product launches:

In addition to our new product reveals, this year’s Marca Corona exhibition space incorporates contemporary art through Marinella Senatore and the Marca Corona per l’Arte initiative.
During Cersaie 2026, a dedicated portion of our stand will transform into a public art gallery, allowing visitors to explore the artistic research of this world-renowned artist, who is engaging with ceramics as both material and creative method for the very first time.
Marinella Senatore is one of the most prominent figures in participatory art. She chose to collaborate with Marca Corona on a shared journey uniting community, culture, enterprise and local heritage.
As the central figure of the 5th edition of Marca Corona per l’Arte, Senatore’s work will be presented through the collective artistic experience developed alongside company employees, offering a preliminary glimpse into a project that will be fully unveiled in the coming months.
This offers another opportunity for visitors to our stand during Cersaie, enriching their time at the fair with dedicated moments of art and experimentation.
