Marca Corona at Cersaie 2018: interview with the Management!

For this 36th edition of Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, Marca Corona is proud to present 4 totally new bold collections that are fully on-trend.

At booth B2-C1 (Hall 18), we have the pleasure to meet Egisto Tosi, the Marketing Director of Marca Corona, who explains to us in short the strengths of the new collections Lagom, Ossidi, Phase and Mementa.

Marca Corona has always interpreted new trends with style and personality, and today is considered a real trend setter in the field of ceramics. Which new collection meets the demands of the most avant-garde planners best?

All our new collections, including the new products presented at Coverings 2018, namely Arkistone, Bold and Elemento, are the result of a careful analysis of new architectural styles and materials, of the emerging styles and the demands made by international designers.

The most ground-breaking collection has to be Ossidi, a range of flooring and wall coverings in porcelain stoneware in a smaller format – 20x20 and a diamond-shaped tile measuring 18.7x32.4 cm.

Ossidi is aimed at fans of the retro style who wish to let their creative streak run wild. It interprets nineteenth-century styles in a contemporary key, with 5 stylised geometric-floral patterns and up-to-the-minute pastel shades, in both matt and glossy, and allows layouts in a single colour, several colours, or more eccentric graphic compositions.

Lagom, the new series of ornate wood-effect tiles, plays homage to Swedish artist and designer, Karin Bergöö Larsson, considered the mother of the Nordic Style. A homage to feminine nature and talent?  A new message from the world of design?

The ceramic produced by Marca Corona have the elegance, versatility and strength of a woman.

With Lagom, we wanted to pay homage to this woman who is considered the first designer with the ability to transform her home into a treasure trove of cosiness and style. In the Larsson's home, simplicity, balance and attention to detail reign supreme and each piece is unique and in tune with the rest. This was the inspiration for a truly unique collection.

Lagom faithfully interprets one of the most prized wood essences, oak, enriching the natural grain with ultra-modern nuances and stylised patterns.

It has never been so easy to furnish in a minimalist, creative style with an innovative mix of different patterns, colours and materials!

Mementa, on the other hand, allows one to explore the emotive side of design, its capacity to transform rooms into personal spaces where one can express their own personality and rediscover who they are.
What are the main colours and atmospheres of this new collection?

Our frenetic era in which we are always under pressure, each individual tries to find reassuring spaces where they can surround themselves with positive elements and really unwind. Design has to cater for this need.

The wall tiles in white body of the Mementa collection (40x80) are designed precisely with the purpose of creating "calming interiors", with minimalist elegance and an intimate, cosy atmosphere.

Mementa proposes extremely expressive textures that convey pleasant tactile and visual sensations. The surface of Mementa is irregular, textured, and with a worn look, and available in a range of cosy shades inspired by the heat and tranquillity of the desert.
The series is completed with sophisticated decorative pieces such as the mosaic tiles Micro Mosaics, and Spina, the soft geometric weaves of Tessile, and the floral motive of Papiro with golden details.

The last of the innovative collections by Marca Corona is Phase, a concrete-effect collection that interprets the "Terrazzo" trend in a boldly sophisticated way.  What are the strengths of this series that we could define as "industrial chic"?

Phase responds to the search for authenticity that distinguishes the current design trends. It aims to create stimulating surfaces, focusing on textured, three-dimensional details. The selection of five sophisticated colours and five large, rectified formats, including large slabs measuring 120x240, make it possible to create spaces with a distinct taste of industrial chic.

Feathers in the cap of the series are: the three-dimensional wall coverings, Storm, which combines streaks, waves and weaves in a sinuous, textured pattern, and the Trama Out collection inspired by the reinforcement grids used for reinforced concrete, stylised and embellished by touches of rust.

To meet the needs for Outdoor use, Phase is also available in the thickness 20 mm, in the formats 90x90 and 60x60 cm.

A totally appealing and versatile proposal!  Why don't you visit our booth to meet the team of Marca Corona and feel the new products yourself?

We look forward to seeing you in Hall 18 - Booth B2-C1
