James Island Estate: architecture and design

On the banks of James Island Creek, surrounded by centuries-old oak trees on land where a large ranch stood in the 1950s, is an exclusive residence in Lowcountry style that has been given a contemporary makeover. Built to allow the light to flood in through every room, thanks to the large windows, this private residence is completely surrounded by greenery.

The perfect proportions of the rooms, the perspective effects and the colours repeated through the different rooms accompany the visitor throughout the home, transmitting an extremely sophisticated, inviting sensation. Wood, stone, open brick and natural materials are the hallmark features of this country chic villa.

For the flooring of the luxury bathroom, the choice fell to the ceramic stiles from the Stoneline porcelain stoneware collection, with their striking, genuine design. In the Black variant, the Stoneline floor tiles create a pleasant contrast with the white of the walls and the free-standing bathtub, beautifully combining luxury architecture with unspoilt nature.
