Renovated mountain house

In the extension and renovation of this mountain cottage, the decision was made to enhance and pay homage to the 1950s, the period in which the building was built, making it a modern, reliable and authentic space: the perfect place to enjoy days of relaxation immersed in the peace and spectacular beauty of Bardonecchia's mountain landscape.

To do this, architect Scafidi meticulously studied the perfect combination of different colours and materials, creating a true jewel of interior design: the exposed wooden beams and neutral-coloured furnishings blend perfectly with the pastel colours of the walls and with more modern, attractive details and finishes, such as the elegant exposed shower or the exclusive steel fireplace, the heart of the home.

To give that retro touch able to personalize and warm up the whole project, Terra encaustic tiles were selected, the flagship of the 1741 Marca Corona Line: the graphic and expressive richness of this collection has allowed the creation of original colour carpets in the entrance of the villa, in the bathrooms and in the exclusive basement, combining different sizes and decorations for an irreverent and anything but ordinary result!

It is no coincidence, moreover, that encaustic tiles are laid in areas most sensitive to temperature changes, humidity and foot traffic: Terra encaustic tiles, like all porcelain tiles, are the ideal material for creating beautiful, practical and safe environments with long-lasting performance.
