Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento: design project

Overlooking the splendid Gulf of Sorrento, the recently renovated Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento is a strikingly unique example of Mediterranean luxury. Finalist at the Gold Key Awards 2020 and SBID Design Awards 2020, two coveted awards for the Luxury Hospitality sector, the Hotel offers an exclusive restaurant with panoramic terrace and numerous Deluxe rooms with balconies overlooking the sea.

The entire complex is dominated by the colour blue, a clear reference to the marine environment, alternated with the purity of marble, the warmth of wood and the candour of light-coloured plaster, typical of maritime residences.

The private suites are characterised by the elegance of the furnishings and the great luminosity: if the large windows were not enough, guests can also enjoy the view from the outside terraces, paved with Ossidi cementine tiles, with a deliberately retro taste.

Each room has a different bathroom, designed to convey different atmospheres. Where the key role is played by the colour blue and timeless charm, the choice fell on Stonecloud floors and Ossidi wall tiles, capable of evoking the manor houses of ancient Pompeii.

In the other rooms, where greater magnificence and modernity are sought, Motif Extra and Motif marble-effect surfaces are proposed in the elegant herringbone tiles and the original small brick and hexagonal formats.

Where land and sea embrace in an exclusive experience, Made in Italy ceramics could not fail to make their stylish contribution.
