Casa Rosanna: the beauty of a historic villa transformed into a boutique hotel

Casa Rosanna is a stylish boutique hotel in Marsascala, Malta, created through the renovation of a historic villa dating from 1885. The project, undertaken by Halmann Vella, conserves the original architectural structure and integrates it attractively with contemporary trends. Use of the exquisite Mediterranean-inspired Marca Corona collections was a key factor in the building’s transformation.

Design and materials: balancing tradition and modernity

Every part of the hotel’s interior has been carefully designed to strike the perfect balance between the Maltese heritage and the modern style. The reception area welcomes guests with tiles with updated classical patterns and an elegant desk in polished lava stone. Each of Casa Rosanna’s four floors has a different distinctive theme, highlighted by the use of small-size Marca Corona ceramic tiles. In the bedrooms and their respective bathrooms, decorative wall coverings combine attractively in an inviting, elegant design.

A restaurant that combines rustic materials with exquisite details

The restaurant also features a well-chosen combination of rustic and modern materials, such as the ceramic floor covering paired with a Bianco Carrara marble buffet counter.

A historic renovation that pays homage to Malta’s heritage

Casa Rosanna is an exemplary restoration of a historic building, which celebrates Malta’s architectural heritage while integrating it with contemporary comforts and style.
