Residential renovation of an attic in Rome

The need to have one's own intimate and private spaces inside the home is a need felt by many, and fully catered for in this residential renovation project in Rome. By joining two adjacent flats on the top floor, a new residence was created that had to be totally reinvented.

For the living area we opted for a huge open space, where living room, dining area and kitchen area interact, separated by a simple iron partition, designed to isolate the aromas produced in the kitchen without blocking out the light.

The enchanting, authentic warmth of the parquet floors is combined with the charm of cementine tiles in chalky tones, used both on the floor and on the walls in a pleasant combination of colours. A balanced and refined but at the same time modern combination, thanks to the originality of Terra cotto-concrete effect tiles patterns and the presence of dark, exposed metal beams.
