Our Cersaie 2019? #AroundtheWorld

Bathroom furnishings, design and new living trends are back in the spotlight at Bologna Exhibition Centre for the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tiles and Bathroom Furnishings that will be attracting worldwide attention from 23 to 27 September 2019. Over 850 exhibitors at Cersaie 2019, 150,000 square metres of exhibition space and more than 100,000 visitors from all five continents. More than the numbers, however, it’s the emotions that count, and at Cersaie 2019 Marca Corona will be offering plenty of those with #Aroundtheworld, a communication and product design project aimed at transforming our Cersaie Stand (Booth B2-C1, Hall 18) and amazing visitors.

#AroundtheWorld is an invitation to travel with the imagination in search of the world’s most beautiful places and alluring atmospheres. This style research in the five continents is the origin of the new ceramic options for 2019, each one of them inspired by a different city and with its own style. The nine new floor and wall tile collections are able to transmit the values of the countries they’re inspired by and to bring unique sensations to any setting.

From New York to Marrakesh, via Thailand

The Marca Corona stand will surprise visitors with its striking architectures, designer settings and geographical inspirations that range from the warmth of Middle Eastern cultures to the allure of the East and the eccentric charm of iconic cities such as New York and Paris.

Visitors will be welcomed by Stonecloud, the new series of stoneware floor and wall coverings with a lava stone effect: eclectic, stimulating and avant-garde, just like New York, the city that never sleeps. It’s the ultra-modern accents of colour and the original material details that give it such a magnetic, urban-chic character!

After savouring the metropolitan atmospheres of the Big Apple, you can recharge your batteries in Thailand, the country that best embodies the values of Soul Bay, the sophisticated white-body collection designed for areas devoted to wellness, meditation and body care, such as spas, private bathrooms and luxury hotels. Comfortably seated on the Marca Corona tuk-tuk, you can appreciate the aquatic shades, the rich ornamental appeal and the gently material relief effects that evoke pleasant tactile and visual sensations. The itinerary takes off again towards Marrakesh, amid the little side streets and colourful market stalls, the white-hot charm of the kasbah and the enveloping colours of the desert… these are the Mediterranean atmospheres that inspire Overclay, a series of earthy stoneware floor and wall tiles reminiscent of the graceful elegance of the sand and the material nuances of Moroccan fabrics.

The allure of Europe d’antan: from London to Paris

Imagine taking a stroll through the upper-middle-class buildings of late-nineteenth-century Victorian London, where you’d find the sophisticated wood panelling in subtle shades that we’ve decided to bring a fresh twist to with Victoria, a series of white-body wall tiles with sophisticated 3D volumes and an irresistible colour range that comprises both delicate pastel shades and dashes of more theatrical colours. This series will be featured in two different settings at Cersaie, demonstrating just how versatile it is: the Victoria surfaces are perfect not only for bathroom walls, but also to bring an ultra-chic touch of colour to modern shops and commercial settings!

From here the trip continues to Paris, renowned the world over as the capital of splendour, fashion and glittering luxury. It’s these dream-like atmospheres that inspired Foyer, a series of marble-effect porcelain stoneware floor and wall tiles. The most noble of materials provided the inspiration for Marca Corona’s experiments with graphics and colours, which have yielded highly original, ultra-modern graphics with a decidedly pop allure! Among the many new products presented at Cersaie 2019, don’t miss the statuesque beauty of the120x278 large ceramic wall tiles!

The style and charm of the Bel Paese: from Palermo to Milan

Marca Corona is proud to be 100% Made in Italy, so on this trip #Aroundtheworld, we could hardly leave out our own Bel Paese! The Cersaie tour winds up here in Italy, with four collections dedicated to it in the Linea 1741 range: four small-size tiles that share the same striking decorative appeal, yet differ in terms of style and personality. While Storie d’Italia pays tribute to the creativity, Mediterranean joie de vivre and vibrant colours of Sicily and the island’s traditional majolica tiles, the other new entries in the 1741 range are inspired by the city of Milan, Italy’s design capital.

The Tortona, Paprica and Regoli collections fully reflect the different moods of Milan: youthful and alternative, like the Tortona cement tiles with their fun, stylised decorations; eccentric and provocative like Paprica with its striking geometries and colours, and cool and urban-chic like Regoli, with its appealing, glossy colours. Continuing on our travels, Marca Corona offers porcelain stoneware in 4 different designer options, with a square (22x22), hexagonal (25x21.6) and brick (7.5x30) shape, perfect for bringing a touch of character to the most modern residential and commercial interiors, whatever the style you’re looking for!
