Bar Nannini Siena: architecture and design

The Nannini chain of bars has been a feature of the city of Siena for a century, beginning with a revolutionary steam-powered coffee machine at the beginning of the last century. Since then, the bars have undergone a number of changes, combining the skilful Italian art of coffee roasting with pastry making and the production of liqueurs. Outside the city walls is one of these bars, the Massetana, with interiors and furnishings that seek to reflect 100 years of tradition, ingenuity and quality.

The warm, linear parquet flooring and the beautiful veining of the light-coloured marble strike a contrast with the elegance of Terra, the most popular of the Marca Corona small-size porcelain stoneware cementine tiles. The hexagon-shaped Mix Decori, with their elegant grey, anthracite and black nuances, and the original geometric and floral patterns recall the creative talent of the chain’s founder, Guido Nannini, and create a decidedly airy, welcoming atmosphere.
