Little India Restaurant: architecture and design

As you enter the eccentric Little India Restaurant in the heart of Christchurch (NZ), you’ll feel as if you’re about to embark on a journey towards far-off lands. Prompted by the owner’s passion for trains, and inspired by the Indian Palaces on Wheels, this architectural project digs deep into the fascinating culture of India to evoke lively, dreamy atmospheres.

While the dashes of colour and metal finishes transmit a sense of cheer and opulence, the dark tones and the chalky cement tiles of the Terra collection bring a modern, sophisticated allure to the entrance. An original idea for a setting that dares to be different, just like the design surfaces of Marca Corona!
