Marca Corona has a long story to tell of fine craftsmanship, style and elegance, which began way back in 1741 and continues today, shining more brightly than ever! Marca Corona’s products embody a perfect blend of its two hallmark features – a passion for craftsmanship, evident in the exclusive small-size 1741 Line, and the constant aspiration to evolve, with a watchful eye on the future, the latest design trends and project requirements.

Mindful of this marvellous tradition, the Marca Corona designers have drawn their inspiration from the objects in the “Marca Corona Gallery” – centuries-old ceramics, coats of arms and colours that embody the timeless mission of Marca Corona and continue to enchant the observer to this day.

Marca Corona Rebranding

Marca Corona’s new image reflects the innovative, modern style of the company, evident both throughout the collections and in the communication tools used to promote the quality of the brand’s floor and wall coverings worldwide.

The new “Marca Corona Ceramiche, since 1741” trademark has been studied to highlight the continuity between past and present: the modern, balanced, sharply focused graphics are complemented by a clear reference to 1741, the year in which Marca Corona was founded. What’s really new, however, is the rediscovery of the coat of arms that since 1931 has been accompanying the evolution of the company.

An S within a frame, taken from the historical archives and given a contemporary restyling, designed as a tribute both to Sassuolo, the birthplace of fine ceramics, and “Società Ceramica di Sassuolo”, the illustrious forebear of the present-day Marca Corona.

The intense blue shade recalls the nuance of the historical Sassuolo majolica tiles, in order to preserve the strong bond with the history of the company and the local area. Marca Corona was established in Sassuolo, and continues to produce its 100% Italian products here to this day!

The Brand Restyling operation has moved apace with a complete rethink of product development, increasingly in line with the latest design trends, which has led to the launch of 2018 collections packed with striking style and character.

This new image is also reflected in all the marketing tools, from the catalogues to the merchandising, as well as the new exhibition concept, evident both in the Sassuolo Showroom and in the latest Cersaie stand. Another essential area of application is the digital sphere, with the creation of a new mobile-responsive website, featuring a wealth of multimedia content and able to offer an optimised, stimulating browsing experience.

The complete restyling of the graphics, the careful study of browsing paths and the addition of new functions, such as the Projects section, or the Blog area, are able to convey the style, reliability and expertise of Marca Corona and its products.

The new exhibition concept

Visitors to Cersaie 2018 were offered an engaging, 360° experience, studied to present the new ceramic series through a series of brand-new tactile and visual strategies, with a highly innovative architectural solution featuring slanted walls as well as volumes and furnishing details with a designer appearance.

More than just an exhibition: a fascinating journey through the latest creations from Marca Corona, from the intense colour of the Phase concrete tiles to the eccentric, retro appeal of the Bold wall coverings, the elegance of the large Arkistone slabs and the material allure of the Mementa wall tiles, without forgetting the irresistible decorated wood of Lagom and the eccentric laying schemes of 1741 Line, with Elemento and Ossidi. The new personality of Marca Corona is something you can’t miss – or fail to appreciate!
