The countdown is on for Cersaie 2018, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, to be held in Bologna from 24 to 28 September. This 36th edition will be attended by Marca Corona, which since 1741 has played a leading role in the history of the ceramic district, always on the leading edge of the latest design trends.

This year, Marca Corona’s unmistakable style is evident in four highly striking collections, as well as in the surprising architectural details of the company’s brand-new stand!

Marca Corona will be paying homage to Nordic style with Lagom, a beautifully balanced, innovative range of ceramics that offers a fresh take on wood, featuring contemporary shades and original stylised patterns. Conceived to create striking colour combinations, graphics and materials, Lagom teams Decor Mixes with a light, expressive quality with Herringbone patterns of timeless elegance, as well as concrete-look inserts with an ultra-modern allure.

The Linea 1741 range, meanwhile, continues to grow and to amaze, thanks to Ossidi, a collection of small-size floor and wall tiles inspired by hand-crafted cementine tiles, ideal for experimenting to the max with decor options. In response to the demands of cutting-edge design, Ossidi comes in five eye-catching shades, with original graphics and a versatile 18.7x32.4cm diamond shape. A superb finishing touch is added by the glossy version, in which the uneven application of glazes with an outstanding material quality shapes saturated surfaces with a retro appeal.

Bringing a sophisticated elegance to concrete: this is the mission of Phase, a porcelain stoneware collection with delicate material details and an industrial chic allure. And as if the sophisticated colour range and large sizes were not enough, an eye-catching finish is guaranteed by the Soft satin surface and by two innovative 3D textures: it’s impossible not to notice the Storm wall tiles, with their graceful scratched effect, and the Trama Out texture for outdoors, inspired by the metal grids of major architectural structures, enhanced with an appealing rust effect.

Marca Corona accommodates the demand for calming interiors, with a collection of 40x80 wall coverings inspired by the traces left behind by time and Man on the surrounding environment: the expressive material appeal of Mementa is evident in the highly distinctive textures, chalky glazes, uneven relief effects and worn looks, able to transmit surprising tactile and visual sensations. This is an incredibly authentic, engaging collection, thanks to a selection of soft, warm nuances with a desert inspiration and the discreet elegance of the decorative elements.

Also showcased at Cersaie will be the three collections Marca Corona offered a preview of at Coverings 2018.

The Bold tiles feature surprising retro colours and irreverent 3D patterns, while the appeal of the Arkistone stones lies in their sophisticated nuances and bright metal inserts.

The Elemento series, a brilliant new addition to the Linea 1741 range, focuses on a splendid crossover between wood and cotto, featuring volcanic shades in a new 7.50x60 size.

At Booth B2-C1 - Hall 18, Marca Corona will be guiding visitors through the 2018 Collections, experimenting with volumes, architectural perspectives and new technologies.

A careful study of interiors leads into a complex yet smooth journey through different surfaces, styles and sizes which are able to engage effectively and to transmit uniquely sophisticated sensations.
