Coverings 2019: Marca Corona places the accent on colour and nature
Marca Corona flies to Orlando to premier its Spring 2019 collections
From 9 to 12 April, Marca Corona is ready to win over the public in Orlando (Florida) and to fly the flag for Italian ceramics: Italian manufacturers, the top suppliers of ceramics to the States, with a market share of 34%, will be playing a key role in all the main events in the hard surfaces sector on the other side of the Atlantic.
A trade fair that promotes first-clas building materials. Marca Corona could choose no better showcase than Coverings for the launch of its five new Spring collections, which combine the finest Italian style with the most effective technical performance of porcelain stoneware.
New proposals from Marca Corona for Spring 2019
The new floor and wall collections, presented for the first time at Coverings, are the result of painstaking aesthetic research and an in-depth reflection on the sense of living styles.
The aim is to offer a new slant on the latest design trends and provide both private and professional customers with unique, cutting-edge solutions.
So here’s a preview of what’s new from Marca Corona…
StoneCloud: Back to Earth
StoneCloud is a response to the desire for a “return to the earth”, to the primal elements and the overwhelmingly natural power of the material.
The new collection takes its inspiration from the magnetic allure of lava, the solid volcanic rock, mitigated by the soft scratches, material details and natural nuances, ready to satisfy the desire for the authentic in interior design.
The result is a brand-new stone-effect porcelain stoneware, with a sober, stylish elegance.
The aesthetic power of the StoneCloud surfaces is perfect for creating iconic, engaging residential and commercial spaces, even outdoors, thanks to the textured version.
The expressive power of these floor and wall coverings, which seem shaped by the forces of nature, is further enhanced by the silky finishes, soft 3D textures and bright silver and gold coloured metal profiles.
Regoli: Industrial Color
With Regoli, Marca Corona underscores its vocation for colour and industrial design. Matt, glossy and 3D brick wall tiles, saturated with colour, with a decidedly urban look able to turn classic brick into an eccentric design element and confirming once more the confident, strikingly decorative character of the 1741 range by Marca Corona!
The porcelain stoneware brick tiles, in the classic 7.5x30 size, are resistant, versatile, and above all irresistible, with a colour palette ranging from subtle, reassuring hues through to vibrant, richly nuanced touches of colour.
The matt finish emphasises the tactile, material dimension of the brick, while the glossy finish and the glazes, applied in a deliberately uneven pattern, sharpen the expressive power of the shades chosen and their ability to engage with the light.
Regoli makes it possible to create a monochrome or colour blocking effect, as well as more creative combinations by mixing different colours, finishes and textures. It’s impossible not to be impressed by the 2 three-dimensional patterns Wide and Sticks!
Architects and designers can also give free reign to their creativity with multi-directional laying patterns and by combining the series with concrete, wood and stone-effect flooring.
Soul Bay: Biophilic Design
Soul Bay draws its inspiration from Biophilic Design, which aims to create intimate, calming ambiences in which Man can re-establish a connection with himself and with Nature.
Soul Bay also pays homage to Giuseppe Sciola, a twentieth-century sculptor famous for his Sound Stones, sculptures similar to large menhirs featured in renowned architectural projects, as well as the “Giardino Sonoro” (Sound Garden) in Sciola’s native San Sperate.
Marca Corona takes a look inside the material in order to free the inner voice of the stone and restore all its tactile, visual and auditory sensations.
This is the concept that has given rise to Soul Bay, a collection of stone-effect white-body wall tiles, designed to bring a touch of restrained elegance to hospitality and wellness areas such as bathrooms, spas, hotels, orangeries and lounges, turning them into authentic soul places offering a smooth, full sense of intimate wellbeing.
These surfaces are featured in four neutral shades, as well as a cool touch of watery blue, all specially studied to be combined with one another or to be teamed with floors packed with genuine character, in materials such as stone, wood, concrete and marble.
Soul Bay also offers material textures, strikingly tactile relief effects and sophisticated decorations reminiscent of oriental arabesques, Arab frescoes and delicate Japanese patterns with shimmering details.
Vie della Pietra: Outdoor Life
Vie della Pietra is a celebration of the outdoor life, transporting the beauty of natural stone onto four different stoneware surfaces, Falesia, Oriente, Quarzite and Galassia, each enlivened by its own particular hues, material and graphic details.
An expressive, profoundly stylish stone-effect porcelain stoneware, available in two small, non-rectified, modular sizes of 22.5x22.5 and 22.5x45 that can be combined with each other. Designed for residential outdoor projects, both the 9 mm thick and 20 mm HiThick variants guarantee maximum resistance to all the types of impact typical of outdoor settings, such as loads, weather conditions and abrupt shifts in temperature.
Resort: Contemporary Interiors
Resort is a porcelain stoneware collection designed to bring a touch of subtle elegance to residential interiors, from the living room to the kitchen, as well as the bathroom and bedrooms.
These wood-effect floor and wall coverings come in three warm, enveloping shades - Light, Beige and Brown – with classic 15x90 e 22.5x90 strips.
