Where does the inspiration for successful interior design come from? The answer is simple: from research, from the study of trends, from the comparison of styles, but also from talent, from daily inspirations and many explorations around the world... real or virtual!
If you are looking for ideas to renovate your settings, you cannot miss the section of our website entirely dedicated to commercial and residential projects, realized with our ceramic surfaces by the most eclectic and innovative architectural firms.
Retro style, Nordic suggestions, minimal interiors, ultra-modern spaces, where materials, effects and colours are skilfully mixed... many atmospheres, with a single common denominator: the technical and aesthetic quality of the Made in Italy ceramics by Marca Corona, used to make contemporary public and private settings unique.
Here is a preview of a small selection of the new Marca Corona projects, the most particular and innovative references made with our wall tiles. We have subdivided them by type and intended use, so that you can discover the great versatility of ceramics and appreciate their aesthetic value, which is perfect for enhancing your future design projects.
Designing settings for the public: endless solutions for creating informal, safe and welcoming spaces
Our Made in Italy ceramics are synonymous with quality, resistance and ease of maintenance and cleaning: no wonder therefore that they are chosen to cover prestigious works, community spaces and places dedicated to health or well-being.
For example, for the extension of the Emergency Department of the San Paolo Hospital, one of the most important hospitals in Italy, Arkistone stone effect floor porcelain tiles were used: on the one hand, the superior technical performance of this material ensures maximum hygiene, ease of cleaning, resistance and guaranteed slip resistance along the corridors and in the examination rooms, and on the other, the neutral and reassuring tones of the new Marca Corona collection convey a sense of trust, welcome and security.
Marca Corona surfaces also play a leading role in the impressive Haus der Musik, a concert and conference hall in the heart of Innsbruck.
The industrial-style façade stands out against the historic buildings and the surrounding mountain landscape, while the interiors impress with their alternation of large glazing and dark, authentic surfaces with character, such as the Matrix concrete effect wall tiles.
The natural brightness and the airiness of the musical notes that animate the structure create a pleasant contrast with the strongly textured surfaces and minimalist furnishings chosen by architects Untertrifaller und Strolz, which you can better appreciate in the dedicated eMotion video project.
Design at the service of leisure and relaxation: when Made in Italy excellence makes the difference
Ceramic surfaces are also often used for the renovation of Boutique Hotels, Spas, Resorts and restaurants, where impeccable appearance and maximum functionality are required in terms of resistance, hygiene and ease of daily maintenance.
Among the many commercial and hospitality projects by Marca Corona several international references of great aesthetic value stand out, such as the Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento, finalist at Gold Key Awards 2020 and SBID Design Awards 2020, two coveted awards in the Luxury Hospitality sector.
The hotel, overlooking the Gulf of Sorrento, impresses guests with its breathtaking views and the refined style of its rooms and furnishings.
For the recent renovation of this exclusive hotel, the THDP firm selected the marble effect surfaces of Motif Extra, the Stonecloud floor porcelain tiles and the Ossidi Cementine tiles, to give a vintage-luxury style to the bathrooms and the terraces of the private suites.
This selection cannot but include the Starfield bookstore, located inside the imposing COEX mall in Seoul, the largest underground shopping mall in the whole of Asia: structured on two floors for a total of over 2,500 square meters, this impressive library-bookstore collects over 50,000 books and 600,000 international magazines.
In order to give this ambitious project a welcoming and elegant atmosphere, the Gensler architectural studio relied on porcelain wood tiles by Marca Corona, in particular the Prestige series: the wood effect floor porcelain tiles are the ideal setting to enhance the multitude of available volumes and accompany guests in their reading.
From the Amalfi coast we then fly to the heart of the Saint-German-des-Prés district of Paris, where we are welcomed into the Hotel D'Aubusson, an exclusive hotel with spa, jazz bar, patio and literary café set in an old building.
The Motif Extra collection, marble effect ceramics by Marca Corona, have been used to cover the rooms of the luxurious Spa which consists of a large indoor swimming pool, a quiet private gym and a massage room with changing rooms.
Marca Corona floor and wall porcelain tiles give brightness and magnificence to different settings, while ensuring maximum slip resistance, durability, ease of cleaning and hygiene, thanks to their immunity to dirt, mould, mildew and dirt.
Decorated Cementine tiles are often chosen by planners and designers for restaurant settings, as they are perfect for creating attractive spaces thanks to retro-style patterns and shades. The small decorative sizes by Marca Corona immediately convey a feeling of welcome and elegance and can fully support the creativity of the project, allowing games of unique, astonishing shapes, geometries and colours.
How can you resist, for example, the charm of the La Ménagère bistro in Florence?
To pay homage to the Florentine architectural tradition and the personality of the original venue, the Q-BIC architectural firm used Terra hexagonal Cementine tiles: the chalky nuances and elegant geometry of the Terra floor tiles convey a feeling of great intimacy and welcome, which you can relive in the dedicated #projecteMotion video story.
If you're a fan of trendy places with a unique personality, don't miss Dhole Cocktail Bar in Milan, a little gem of gastronomy and mixology.
Its multifaceted spirit, divided between oriental and western influences, is reflected not only in the cocktails and dishes on offer, but also in the furnishings, which combine exotic patterned wallpaper and parquet flooring with a timeless charm with terrazzo effect surfaces featuring a vintage feel: the small sizes with geometric decorations from the Forme collection by Marca Corona.
When style... is at home! The most beautiful residences created with Marca Corona ceramics
Today, more than ever, home represents a safe haven, an oasis of psycho-physical wellbeing to escape from external stress and worries. It is therefore essential to choose furnishings, floor and wall tiles with care to design settings that are not only beautiful to look at, but also functional and long-lasting to live in. Also in this case, Marca Corona surfaces have proved to be the decisive choice for many residential projects: here are the latest and most beautiful realizations!
Casa Moreno is a delightful apartment, a small jewel in downtown Rome, characterized by a refined and a bit bohemian interior design: the eccentricity of retro furniture, the elegance of desaturated colours and attention to detail make this residence the ideal place to live a dreamy "Roman holiday". The Terra Cementine porcelain tiles, chosen for their chalky nuances and refined decorations, stand out and give rooms a refined, timeless charm.
Those who love the "grand" and country-chic style typical of American homes will be dazzled by James Island Estate, a private residence resulting from the renovation of an old ranch in South Carolina! For flooring the luxurious master bathroom, the Herlong architectural firm chose Stoneline stone effect ceramics, a porcelain tile collection with authentic, bold graphics, perfect for creating a pleasant contrast with the whiteness of the walls and furnishings.
Do you prefer a more minimal and essential style? The architects of the Opus Atelier firm are renowned for their ability to design intimate, refined and evocative spaces, in which no detail is left to chance: among their latest works, you can appreciate a private apartment, small in size but big in style.
The renovation project resulted in the harmonious combination of warm natural woods, floral details, designer furniture and candid nuances. The elegant Maiolica ceramics, small glazed sizes similar to ancient majolica, are able to enhance the simplicity and elegance of the bathroom. The watchword of this project? Relaxation and ultra-chic minimalism!
