What is the LEED rating system?

LEED standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) are parameters for sustainable building that have been developed in the USA by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), and that have been adopted in Italy thanks to the GBC Italia as well as in more than 100 countries in the world.
It is a voluntary certification system based on the allocation of credits for each of the requirements characterising the sustainability of a building. After totalling the credits, the achieved certification level can be obtained.
Ceramiche Marca Corona is an ordinary member of GBC Italia and produces ceramic tiles contributing to the allocation of LEED credits, in particular in the Marmo Ecologico and Ecoliving collections.
